What questions would you ask Bud`s father?

I would ask Bud`s father why did he leave him, and  why did he not bother to come back to visit him.Another thing I would ask is what made him leave in the first place. Why don`t he want to be a father to Bud.

Why would someone reccomend Esperanza Rising to someone who enjoyed bud,not buddy?

I would reccomend it because it is almost the same story. For example,it is during the great depression.Another example is, the main character does not have a mom.The above reasons are why I would rccomend Esperaza  Rising.

what would u ask Bud's father?

I  wold ask  him if he was colphd  to  be Bud's  fater. If  he thought  that if  Bud  was  a  baby  he   could  take  really   good  care  of  him.

What questions would you ask Bud's father?

I would ask him if he liked music more than his family.I would also ask him why he left Bud and Bud's mom.

causes of the great deapression

It was caused by a majer drout which caused the Dust Bowl. It was on black Tuesday when the stock market.

Why would someone recommend Esperanza rising to someone who enjoyed bud, not buddy

I think they would do that because, Esperanza and Bud both dont have their fathers with them.

Why would someone recommend Esperanza Rising to someone who enjoyed Bud, Not Buddy?

Bud, Not Buddy and Esperanza Rising are kind of alike because they are both during The Great Depression. Someone who read Bud, Not Buddy would like to read Esperanza Rising. Both books are the same because the were seperated from there mothers. But reading both summaries I can tell that both books are going to be great. So I recommend you to read both books and you well like both books. At the bottom I wrote the URLs so you can check it out. Thank You for reading my post.

Why would someone recommend Esperanza Rising to someone who enjoyed Bud, not Buddy

Well, someone who really enjoyed Bud, Not Buddy might enjoy Esperanza Rising. The other person who has read both books would maybe tell them a short summary to explain what is the plot of the book about. They might say that they have a few things in common like these examples: It is during The Great Depression, Both of their mothers flee, and that they both are alone. I myself have not read Esperanza Rising, but by reading the summary it sounds like a good book. Although Bud, Not Buddy and Esperanza Rising are not the same book, they are both simular in some kind of way. I was really exited about reading Bud, Not Buddy. So Esperanza Rising looks like it will have some suspencful parts as well as Bud, Not Buddy! Also Before this is over I want to point out that i have put out two citations to Both Bud, Not Buddy and Esperanza Rising at Amazon.com.

What is a hooverville?

In the great depression people used to live in a hooverville ( a house made out of cardboard ). The people in the great depression would blame it on the Republican President Herbert Clark Hoover. The people in the hoovervilles would blame Herbert C. Hoover because they thought that he wasn't doing his job. Bud , Not Buddy is just when the great depression was passing by.

No music in the world

It would be like everything will be duel with no music.Know in 1930s jazz was the most popular music in history, and i will love to be there in the1930s listening to jazz.I think that music is more pacinet then anything in the world, and without that the world is duel with no music and no sound. But if they were to discover music then the world will be much better than ever.Thats my story hope you like it
The word with out music will be like something from you is missing. Plus when you are sad  music helps you but with out music maybe you will always be sad. Music  is  your friend. Plus there are types of music fopeople can hear.

what would the world be like without music?

I would be sad and cry because their is no music.I couldn't listen to any music i want to listen to and i would be heart-broken.Would you like to listen to the music you want do you agree with me?You girls and boys want to listen to music right? You would be bored with no music.I know you people want to listen to the music you like.Almost all kids and teenagers want to listen to the music you want to listen right.Music is amazing.

What was life like as an orphan during the Graet Depression?

I think it was a sad and hard time for the orphans. They kept moving around to place to place. The poor people had to wait in long food lines for a plate of food .  I wouldn't be happy being a orphan. That's why it was a hard and sad time.

solution to stop homelessness

I wish there would be nobody  homelessness. My idea  is to  find out about couples  that  can't  have kids. They  might even adpot a boy like Bud.

WHAT WOULD THE WORLD BE LIKE WITHOUT MUSIC.

THEWOULD BE BORING WITHOUT MUSIC AND SLOW GOING .THATS HOW THE WORLD WOULD BE LIKE WITHOUT MUSIC.

what was life like as an orphan during the great depression

It felt  bad because like back then not everbody got to be rich.Like now we have mechains .They didn't back then.

What was life like being an orphan during the Great Deppresion?

It was probably even harder because you mostly didnt even have your parents! It mustve been for many reasons, like maybe your family didnt have enough money to raise a family. It was probably a bit easier in a foster home because they had a buisness with a house and a roof unlike most houses during the time of the depression .Although whyen the kids were taken to other homes for some care for a short time they mightve experienced what Buddy had experienced with Todd, ABUSE. So you could probably say that you either had it easy or hard depending on what happened to you when you left the foster home. To conclude this blog being an orphan in the Great Depresion was a 50/50 chance of being good or bad.

bud not buddy

If I was bud I would hit all of the amos's out for what they did to me because that was not nice of them to lock him in the shed.

Recommend a solution to stop homeless.

I know a way to stop homeless give money or even donate things to the poor people.

What would the world be like without music?

Without music it would be boring. No one would be active because music makes joy.In the 1930's there wa s jazz.. jazz was  very popular people always danced when they heard jazz.

why did bud find it hard to tell the "good guys " from the bad guys"?

It was hard for him because he grow up with out his parents. I would have had a hard time if Iwere him.

What was life like as an orphan during the Great Depression?

It was a rough life beacause food, water, and shelter was hard to find.Kids had to go door to door asking if they could get some food or shelter.Kids had to find old and filthy cloths out of the garbage and water. They had to be careful not to step on glass or get a serios injury. There was no doctors or hospitals to cure an injury if they had gotten hurt. The kids had no parents to help take care of them or help them get food or water.

what was life like as an orphan during the great depression

It was  bad  because  the   people  didn't have enough money to take care of the kidz.

Recommend a solution to stop homelessness.

The government can start a program that helps homeless people. The first 2 months of rent would be free. Then when they find a job they can start paying rent. The rent wouldn't be very expensive. It would cost less than $100.

With out music

I think without music everything would be boring. The reason of why I said this is because some people when they are by themself and they miss their family and they hear music to remember about them.Maybe you do that too. What about if there was no music. It would be boring would it be.SO SHOULDN'T YOU BE THANKSFUL.

what was life as an orphan during the Great Depression

I think life would've been bad for Bud.I feel bad for Bud because he has to live in Great Depression.

Stop homelessness

I think that the only way to stop homelessness  is to help the people that you really think need help because some people just pretend to be homelessness. If you don't make sure you might just waste the money that you could give to the people that really need it.If we help the people we might stop homelessness and live happy without having to give money away to people.PLEASE HELP HOMELESSNESS PEOPLE.

What would the world be like without music?

the world would be boring without music that is just what I think.

What would the world be like without music?

If it was only Jazz I might like it because I would be use to it, and start to like it because that  would be the only  thing I could listen to.It would be weird  to you,but it is really cachy once you start to listen to it. At first it could be boring but if you keep reading you would like it. At first I didn`t like it,but now it is getting very funny and good.If you ever read this book or not you should really read our comments you would love them.If you read it please comment, and put what you like about the book and if it  is good for a fifth grader to read.

what was life like as an orphan during the great depression

it must have bein a hard time the orphanitig was poor no money,no food, and littel bit of frends. I feel bad for bud he got sent to a home with todd a 12 year old kid that hits him a the time and lies.

What would the world be without music?

It will be bad because in the 1930s jazz helped  people forget about sad stuff that made them upset. So jazz was the best music back then it wasn't to fast or to slow. That why jazz was the most popular music in the 1930s.

What would the world be like without music?

Everybody would be bored because they might have no T.V.. People could afford radios instead of  T.V..  There would be music that could relate to a situation you might have. Music can relate to everything in your life.

What would the world be like without music?

Everyone would be bored and have nothing to lesten to.

What would the world be without music?

I would not like the world to be with no music because what if we are bored and nothing to do we could not hear music.

what would the world be with music?

It would be terrible because when you are wercking out you have to listen to music what do you think

recommend a solution to stop homelessness

It would be really bad because thay would have no food or water sume mite die thay dont have enough muny to rent a apartment  what do you thinck

what would life be without music

it would be horrible because if you had a bad day and there was no music you wouldn't be able to forget your problems, but if there was music you would just listen to it and then later on you would forget why you were mad. what do you think? =)

Why did Bud find it hard to tell the 'good guys from the bad guys''

It took Bud alot to find out who was good and bad. One thing that happened with that was Todd. While I was reading through the book at the beggining I was thinking if Todd was actualy good, but that was just a guess. The problem was that Todd was actualy a BIG MOMMAS BOY. His mom said thought that everything he said was true, well that was what she thought. The thing that happened to Bud was that Todd was blaming everything on Bud! So that was with Todd. Bud might have also bee mistaken with the good and he bad with Mr and Mrs. Amos. i was also thinking if they were good or bad before i read the chapter. It was the same thing as Todd, well exept the blame part. So i come to my conclusion. It is that it might have been pretty hard for Bud to tell the good from the bad

what would the world be like without music?

It would be kind of boring, mostly because thats what most people do daily. If you wanted to relax.how would you without your favorite song? Music is a very good art . If the world didnt have music, what will we do when we are bored and dont want to play video games, go outside,or get on a social network like Facebook. I usually listen to music when im that bored. How will people socialize if you didnt know what kind of music they like if there was never any music? To conclude, a world without music is BORING ,and yes with all capitals

The relationship between bugs and bud is that bugs sometimes bite and bud is a person.bugs are not that important to bud cuase they bit him really hard and it hurted him for a while. the thing they have incoming is that thaey both hated each other in chacter 3.

What could Bud siad to defend himself? What do you think will happen in the morning when the sun rises?

"It was was todd that did it look he even has the pencil."He should escape and leave the Amoses house.

what could bud have said to defend himself? what do you think will happend in the morning when the sun rises?

he could have told ms or mr amos that toddy hurt him and he shouldnt have made it like he did somthing. in the morning when the sun rises i think thta he will escape or mr or ms amos come to bring him out or put him in another foster home  when he comes out he should tell what realy happend tell them that to take toddy away from him so he wont punch him again or he could have punched toddy back but he would have sufferd the same consaqenses. he should have told them when he was geting tooken in the basementm, but he didnt becuese he thot toddy would beat him up again or do the same thing and bud seems like a very nice person to do such a thing  would be a bad person but ms amos belives every thing that tod says

what could bud have said to defend himself?

He could of tell the amoses no! I wont deal with this

What could Bud have said to defend himself

He could of said to leave me alone because he'd did nothing to him and you are that one that's doing stuff to me.

Why do you think Bugs is important to Bud?What made the too alike?

I THINK THAT BUGS WAS BUD'S BEST FRIEND AND BUGS THE FIRST PERSON BUD MET AT THE HOME.THEY ARE BOTH ALIKE BECAUSE  THIER PARENTS BOTH LEFT THEM.THEY WOULD PROBABLY HAVE BECAME FRIENDS THE FIRST DAY THEY MET.

describe the relationship between bugs and bud

I think they had a really good friendship. Bugs was really important to him because of their similarities. Its not everyday that you meet a person like you. They were alike in many ways, mostly because of their talent in lying. If you see closely, you could tell that in chapter 4 Bugs was scared but didnt want to admit it. Bugs mustve been really important to Bud because Bud himself claims that Bugs was his best friend before he was adopted.

Would you like your family to be a foster family? Why or why not?

I wouldn`t like that my parents were foster parents cause they might not know everythng about you ,and you never know if you could trust them.Plus if you have foster sisters, and brothers they might talk bad about you. they might always treat you bad,or blame you for everything. That is the reason why I wouldn`t have a foster family

Would you like your family to be a foster family?

No,because  they are not my biogical parents. It wouldn`t feel the same because even though they left you at a foster home.No body can love you like your mom. They would believe there actual child. The other children might not like you,and hit you all the time.

Would You Like Your Family To Be A Foster Family? WHY or WHY NOT

No, I  would not like my family to be a foster family because I do not want to be around children I dont know.

Would you like you family to be a foster family?why or why not

No I wouldn't because they will punch me in the face and they might be older then me and the parents will not trust me and they will trust they kid.

Would you like your family to be a foster family?why or why not?

No,because you may not know the the kids that are goin to be mean to you. Then, they might treat you right. They might treat the other kids better than you.The kids might bully you also then they might lie and say it was you and your mom will tell you to stop!!!Then the kids might be better than you and keep on and on tellin on you sayin you did it.Then, you might get more in trouble and get in time out.You might try to get the other kids in trouble so they can get in time out.

Would you like your family to be a foster family? Why or why not?

No, because there could be some kids in your foster family that you don't like. They can also send you to a different family . Then, you will  also miss the kids that you grew up with .  The other family might treat you bad,and then the family you were with. So, thats why i don't want a foster family!!

WOULD YOU LIKE YOUR FAMILY TO BE A FOSTER FAMILY?WHY OR WYH NOY

I WOULD LIKE TO STAY WITH MY FAMILY BECAUSE SOME FOSTER FAMILYS ARE MEAN AND I LOVE MY FAMILY:) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would you like your family to be a foster family?

It depends in how they are.I would want my foster family to  be amible, caring, loving, and supportive.I rather be with a family instead of being alone, but if they are not like I've listed I wouldn't want to have a foster family.

Would you like your family to be a foster home?

I   would  not  like  being  in  a  foster   home. The reson why is that  I  personaly would  like  to  be with  one   family  for  the  rest  of  my  life. I think Bud  would  like  that  too.

Would you like to your family to be a foster family? Why or why not?

I would pick to not live with a foster family because I have a mom to take care of me,but if I didn`t have a mom than I would live with a foster family.

First, second, and third blocks,

I am so impressed with how well you wrote your first blog posts! They were so good that they gained the attention of many people. As of right now, 207 people have viewed the blog. Many of my friends and family members have read your posts, and now they're interested in reading the book. Awesome job, sirs and ma'ams! Stay awesome :)

Mr. Cornett

Do you agree with how Mr. and Mrs.amos dealt with Bud? Explain

No, because you don't treat a little boy like that ,and you don't know who is lying or saying the truth. He could just apoligized to the parents and to Todd. You can't let a child sleep in the shed by himself in the night.

do you agree with how Mr. and Mrs. Amos dealt with Bud?

I think they treated him wrong because they think he was bad ,but Todd was the one who did everything. Mrs. Amos talk to him and told him to apoligize to todd.Todd was liying and said bud did something to him ,but todd was kicking him.Bud had to sleep in the sheld were todd told him that there was spiders, blood on the ground , and centepees

Do you agree with how Mr. and Mrs.Amos dealt with Bud?

No, Because it wasn't Bud's fault it was the foster brother fault named Tod,and Tod should've went in the shed.

How did Bud feel about leaving the orphanagre to live with the Amoses? How do you know?

He felt kind of scared but not to much because he already moved alot. But,they might paddle him.

DO you agree with how mr.and mrs.amo dealt with ? explain

NO, I dont agree because they treat him unfair its hes their son, but they are just using him to do homethings ang bud feels bad.

Do you agree with how Mr and Mrs.Amos dealt with Bud?

No!, I don't agree with Mr. and Mrs.Amoses because they don't believe Buddy. They treat him like if he was there son. Todd makes stuff up so that Buddy gets in trouble. So don't believe them! Read the book if you don't believe me.

do you agree with how Mr.andMrs.Amoses dealt with bud.

No I DO NOT AGREE,MR.and MRS.AMOSES are being mean to bud for no reason .Mrs.Amoses got mad at Bud ,because she thought Bud was bulIing her son todd, but todd was the one that was bulling. Then Todd got Bud in trouble.

How did bud feel about leaving the orpfanage to live with th Amoses? How do you know.

Bud feels happy because he is going to have a family. At the same time he is sad because he has gone to a family so many times, and he has gone back to the orphange again.

Hello, everyone! This is our blog for Bud, Not Buddy. Each day, three students will go to the computers in our classroom to write about the book--at the end of class. I will let you know which chapters you will write about. I will also post a list of the people who will write in the blog each day.

You may choose to post one of the following:

1.) summary of the last chapters we read
2.) what you like or do not like about the chapters (you must explain why you felt that way)
3.) an update on your favorite character
4.) how the chapter(s) relate to you-- how is it like your own life? how can you relate to it?
5.) list of vocabulary words that were new to you; you must give a definition and use the words in a sentence (feel free to use dictionary.com instead of the regular dictionary).
